索爾·理查德森（Sol Richardson），清華大學(xué)萬科公共衛(wèi)生與健康學(xué)院助理教授，博士生導(dǎo)師。主要研究領(lǐng)域?yàn)榀懠擦餍胁W(xué)、煙草控制和應(yīng)急疫苗分配機(jī)制。曾擔(dān)任非政府組織“瘧疾聯(lián)盟”（Malaria Consortium）的高級(jí)流行病學(xué)家?，F(xiàn)牽頭負(fù)責(zé)在非洲多地開展的季節(jié)性瘧疾化學(xué)預(yù)防（SMC）的監(jiān)管和評(píng)估工作。目前擔(dān)任世界衛(wèi)生組織顧問，從事全球應(yīng)急疫苗響應(yīng)、東南亞地區(qū)與煙草有關(guān)的死亡率和咀嚼煙草的使用大流行性流感防范等方面的工作。

Sol Richardson is Assistant Professor at Tsinghua Vanke School of Public Health. He was previously Senior Epidemiologist at the NGO Malaria Consortium, where he led the scientific aspects of its Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) programme in Burkina Faso, Chad, Nigeria, Mozambique and Togo. He is also a Consultant for the World Health Organization and has worked on global emergency vaccine response, tobacco-related mortality and chewing tobacco use in South-East Asia, and pandemic influenza preparedness. He has served on scientific working groups including the SMC Alliance SMC Monitoring and Evaluation Working Group.

01研究計(jì)劃 Proposed Research
博士后將從事與撒哈拉以南非洲瘧疾預(yù)防（如季節(jié)性瘧疾化學(xué)預(yù)防）有關(guān)的公共衛(wèi)生跨學(xué)科項(xiàng)目，該項(xiàng)目旨在確定岡比亞衛(wèi)生系統(tǒng)瘧疾防治機(jī)構(gòu)網(wǎng)絡(luò)中的主要機(jī)構(gòu)及其支持環(huán)境的綜合特征。項(xiàng)目將分析中國和岡比亞的瘧疾防治機(jī)構(gòu)之間的互動(dòng)機(jī)制，以及中國參與岡比亞瘧疾防治工作所面臨的挑戰(zhàn)和機(jī)遇。工作內(nèi)容包括建立計(jì)劃監(jiān)測(cè)和評(píng)估系統(tǒng)、項(xiàng)目調(diào)查和影響分析、醫(yī)療機(jī)構(gòu)服務(wù)能力調(diào)查、與中國和岡比亞決策者進(jìn)行利益相關(guān)者訪談以及定性分析。岡比亞的實(shí)地考察可能于 2024 年 8 月開始。
It is proposed the successful candidate will work on projects related to malaria interventions (e.g., seasonal malaria chemoprevention, SMC) in Sub-Saharan Africa. Specifically, the s/he would work as part of an interdisciplinary project, aims to characterise the key institutions in the network of malaria control institutions in the Gambian health system and their supporting environment. It will analyse the mechanisms of interaction that exist in the malaria control institutions between China and Gambia, and the challenges and opportunities of China's participation in malaria control in Gambia. This project will involve establishment of a programme monitoring and evaluation system, programme surveys and impact analysis, health services capacity surveys, stakeholder interviews with decisionmakers on the China and the Gambia and qualitative analysis. Fieldwork in the Gambia is likely to start in August 2024.

2、相關(guān)學(xué)科的博士學(xué)位。擁有流行病學(xué)、生物統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)或公共衛(wèi)生任何子領(lǐng)域的博士學(xué)位者優(yōu)先考慮，但也歡迎擁有可用于流行病學(xué)和公共衛(wèi)生的研究基礎(chǔ)（如人口學(xué)或經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)）的定量成分較強(qiáng)的學(xué)科博士學(xué)位的候選人提交申請(qǐng)，獲得博士學(xué)位的年限不超過三年
3、精通英語和漢語，精通法語者優(yōu)先考慮
4、具有很強(qiáng)的科研獨(dú)立性，能夠獨(dú)立探索、開展課題，能獨(dú)立思考并解決問題
5、精通流行病學(xué)相關(guān)的定量研究方法，如多層次建模、增長曲線建模、生存分析、傾向得分匹配等
6、掌握高階統(tǒng)計(jì)分析方法和定性研究方法優(yōu)先考慮
7、了解瘧疾或其他蟲媒傳染的疾病和/或消除蟲媒傳染疾病的政策優(yōu)先考慮
8、根據(jù)研究項(xiàng)目的要求，愿意在撒哈拉以南非洲地區(qū)進(jìn)行實(shí)地考察工作
9、符合清華大學(xué)有關(guān)博士后管理規(guī)定
1、Aged under 35 years on the date of starting in the role.
2、PhD in a relevant subject. While a PhD in any sub-field Epidemiology, Biostatistics or Public Health would be preferred, candidates with a PhD in subjects with a strong quantitative component with skills transferrable to epidemiology and public health (such as Demography or Economics) are also welcome to submit expressions of interest. PhD degrees must be awarded within three years of the data of starting in the role.
3、Excellent English and Chinese proficiency. Proficiency in French is highly advantageous.
4、Capability of conducting independent research.
5、Strong knowledge of quantitative research methods relevant to Epidemiology, including more advanced methods such as multilevel modelling, growth curve modelling, survival analysis, propensity score matching, etc.
6、Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and qualitative research techniques are desirable.
7、Knowledge of malaria or other vector-borne diseases, and/or policies for vector-borne disease elimination, is desirable.
8、Willingness to travel and work in Sub-Saharan Africa.
9、Comply with Tsinghua University’s postdoctoral regulations
